The track shorts are an awesome gender neutral pattern! I love it when my girls and boys can match with each other.
Included with Pattern: PDF - Letter, A0 (including a projector optimized page in the A0 file)
Includes Layered Pattern, Fabric/Notion Requirements, and Pictured Instructions
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Binding can be tricky if you're just starting out. Checkout the tutorial on the website and practice on scraps before sewing on the shorts!
Sizes & Fabric Quantity: All Sizes: 1/2 Yard
Materials: * Knit or woven fabric, we love to use french terry for these shorts * 1 - 1 1/4" elastic * Drawstring (optional)
Additional Sizes Examples and Pictures: Click HERE
Additional Details: Sizes NB-9/10. I would highly suggest sizing DOWN for girls. Because these shorts are gender neutral they run a tad big. I find they fit cuter on the girls if they’re a little smaller, but if your girly likes the bigger/longer shorts then go ahead and pick her true size. Elastic width will also change the rise slightly. For my daughter I like to size down and use 1 1/4” elastic!
Once payment has gone through you will be able to download your files immediately! You will also receive both a confirmation email and an email with a link to download your files. The confirmation email will give you the option to view your order where you can download your files. Lots of options! Be sure to check your promotions/spam/junk folders if the email with the file links doesn't come to your inbox.
Please don't share the file with anyone, though you are welcome to share a printed size with others.
How do I receive my pattern? Right after purchasing, you will be directed to a confirmation page where you can download the files. You will also receive an email with a link to download your files. You can always log back in and see your files.
It will come in .zip format so it's best to download and save it somewhere on your desktop!
What kind of machine do I need to sew your patterns? A sewing machine is a must. If you are really wanting to get into making clothing though, I HIGHLY suggest getting a serger. Sergers make everything easier and cleaner. They also sew with knits a lot better than regular sewing machines!
I also own a coverstitch machine which has been a game changer. It's definitely not necessary but it is an amazing machine to have if you want your clothes to have a professional finish.
Can I sell clothes I make from your patterns? Yes, as long as you are the one sewing the clothes (you may not outsource to a manufacturer or otherwise mass produce the clothes). We love seeing our designs come to life!
Interested in outsourcing or manufacturing? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We love to see your work and we appreciate when you tag #lowlandkids :)
Can I share patterns I buy? No. We spend a lot of time and effort on each of our patterns and instructions. If people are interested in using Lowland Kids patterns you've acquired, please direct them to our website.
How Do I know what size to print? Once you download the pattern, open up the instructions and there is a sizing chart that will help you decide which size to print! If your kiddo is in between sizes you can always take the width of one size and length of another.
Can a beginner sew your patterns? Yes! We have patterns for beginners and experienced sewists alike. In the description of each pattern there will be a level of difficulty and it's up to you to decide!
Do you support Layers? YES! Each pattern has layers incorporated so you can just deselect any sizes you don't want to print!
