Adult Half Zip Sweater
Now the adults can match their littles! The Adult Half Zip Sweater goes from sizes XXS - 5XL. The mock turtleneck collar and front kangaroo pocket give it an elevated twist while being ever so comfortable. The separate pieces on the top and bottom make this pattern perfect for color blocking and scrap busting! The zipper instructions are very clear and easy to follow, so if you've never sewn a zipper before, this is an awesome pattern to start with!
Use the size chart to determine which size to cut and sew. If you’re in between
sizes, you can go up or down in side depending on what fit you’re going for. Some of our testers opted to size down for a more fitted look.
This sweater was drafted for a height of 5’ 10”. You can adjust the length as desired! Measuring tips, finished measurements and length adjustment included in the instructions. Please make sure to read through the instructions thoroughly before getting started!

If you want to use rib for cuffs/waistband/collar, we’ve separated the requirements.
If you plan on using only one fabric, be sure to add these two together
when calculating how much fabric you need. Usage requirements based off of a
50” wide bolt.

Materials:
- Knit - We recommend using a thicker knit such as large loop french terry, fleece,
or other sweater knits. If you use a knit that is pretty stretchy, you’ll want hemming
tape or interfacing to help stabilize when you add the zipper. - Zipper
- 1/2” (1.3cm) Double folded Bias tape (optional but recommended)
- Hem Tape, Interfacing or Wonder Tape (optional but highly recommended)

This was a great pattern to sew up. Before I made these I made one for myself using all the options and I learned all about collars and separating zippers. The zippers were very cool and make the hoodie special thanks th shine bright labels. Hoodie pattern was so easy to follow. Thanks for terrific instructions.
Leuk patroon. De beschrijving is goed te volgen. Het rugpand heb ik uit 1 deel gemaakt. Dus niet een boven- en onder-rugpand. Verder ook uit 1 kleur. Daardoor nèt even anders. Ik ga het zeker nog een keertje maken. Tip: ik heb brede boordstof gebruikt. Vind het echter niet zo mooi. Dus de boord kun je beter uit een fijne boordstof maken.
Love this pattern. Versatile and very flattering even for a plus size. There will definitely be more to come!
One of my favorites for sure!
I’ve bought the kids half-zip pattern some time ago and made both my kids 3 tops each. The pattern was so easy and looked great that I decided to buy the adult one too. I made myself 2 tops in a day, it is a quick sew with great instructions.
As usual Lowland Kids patterns and instructions are amazing. Easy to follow and easy to understand. The only "bad" thing I have to say about this pattern is that it is not fitted for both men and women as shown, it is best fitted for men. I would have to alter the pattern for it to fit over my hips. But the fit was perfect for my husband.
I just kind of a soft sweatshirt material for this project and it turned out great! The instructions were pretty easy to follow besides the part where you add in the extra piece for the zipper guard. But, you just have to do it slow. The other instructions were great, the pictures were very helpful. The pattern was really easy to cut out and use. All of the pieces were pretty easy to put together even without much instruction.
Love this pattern! First time doing a zipper and the instructions were super clear and easy to follow! Looking forward to make sweaters for everyone in our family!
Love the finished product - but the instructions were confusing (where they didn't need to be) and ended up with a lot of expletives in the process of putting it together. It would help if the PDF instructions were done in the same order as the video tutorial steps.
I was so nervous about using a zipper but the instructions are absolutely amazing and super easy to follow. The different fabric choices makes it really versatile. I'll be making many more

Love this pattern!!! My family is getting them as Christmas gifts!!!! Would have given it 5 stars if the printed pattern was a bit better. Many pieces and right on the cut lines to match pieces and it’s hard to pieces together. I know many use projectors, but I’m old school and like paper. Same with the kids version. The pieces end up right on the cut lines for papers to match and it’s hard. But the rest of the pattern is fabulous! The instructions are great!!!! Have made several in all sizes! Both in thicker French Terry and sweatshirt fleece and then as well in jersey!!! Great as a pullover or as a shirt!!! Love it!
