Adult Drawstring Dress
The Drawstring Dress is a simple yet elegant dress that can be worn in the comfort of your home, out and about, or even for a nice event. It has a drop sleeve and you can choose between long and short. Nursing or pregnant? We've got you covered! This dress is meant to work all throughout pregnancy and has a nursing liner option. We also have a kids pattern so you can match your mini!
The women's version of this dress is semi fitted at the top and form fitted around the hips. Please note that about half of those who tested this dress preferred a looser fit around the hips and sized up the skirt. Please make sure you read through the instructions completely. Especially pay attention to sizing/fabric notes to get the perfect fit for YOU!
I highly suggest making a muslin out of cheaper fabric first to make sure you've got the correct fit before cutting into your favorite fabric!

Customers praised this sewing pattern as "easy to follow" and "quick to sew" with a flattering fit. The nursing-friendly feature received high marks. Some found the waistband and drawstring channel confusing or frustrating to complete. Length adjustment is important for taller sewers. The short-sleeved version may appear boxy.
I bought this and the children’s version. Although they came out beautifully, these are definitely intermediate sews. The drawstring channel was the most confusing part for me, but eventually I understood. Very happy with how these came out!
Overall a very nice pattern, but I think the waistband technique makes it hard to have a nice finish.
This pattern is great, easy to follow
This was a fairly easy sew. The elastic in the waistband was a little frustrating, but that was more to do with not having the right width of elastic. But it turned out so nice
the pattern is fantastic i love it. super excited about the easy nursing hack to. the only issue i'm having is somehow i sized the skirt part wrong and its so tight i need to remake or add a panel to the sides. Thats my issue though. Thanks for another great pattern
This dress is an easy sew, super flattering, and has awesome breastfeeding access!
Love the way the nursing version comes together! I will say the warning about adjusting the length is important! I’m 5’7” and only added one inch and could have used 2 additional inches to the length.

I like it very much, detailed informations and straight forward. However, the short sleeved version was weirdly boxy, so I just hemmed the bodice and it's much nicer!

It was very easy to sew and easy to adapt my needs. I did size small for top and medium for skirt part with a bit of adjustment at the hips part. Fits really nice. Made it in french terry so it was quite thick to sew through on the part where you saw together elastic and drawstring. Fantastic pattern!
Lovely dress which great choices, I found the instructions for the nursing lining a little scattered and minimal but otherwise such a wonderful pattern
