Sweater Romper
This oversized Sweater Romper instantly became a new favorite of ours and we hope you all love it too! The pattern comes in sizes NB - 5T and has the options of a hood/neckband, pocket/no pocket, and a cinched waist or no cinch. For the cinched option there are instructions on adding some length to the bodice for more flounce.
Because this is geared toward littles, the crotch is wide to accommodate diapers. The romper still looks adorable on kids without diapers but I suggest narrowing the crotch. The instructions include a graphic on how do to this so keep that in mind when planning your project!

This pattern came together very quickly. It was my first time using a snapper, but it was easy and didn’t take anytime at all. I repurposed an old sweatshirt into the 18 month size. It is an oversized fit, the neck hole seems a bit larger than I’d like. For reference my daughter just started wearing size 18m store bought clothes. I used the cuffs from the sweatshirt for the romper cuffs, but doesn’t provide enough stretch & in the future I’ll use a stretch knit fabric so I can pull the sleeves up for her, however I appreciate the sleeves aren’t covering her hands. I enjoy the look of her romper and am excited to make more.

I love this pattern! I was really nervous to sew a piece of clothing for the first time ever but the directions in the pattern were very clear and there was also a YouTube video that I watched that helped a lot too! I just used a hoodie that we were going to send to Goodwill in case I messed up but it turned out so cute. Everyone loves seeing a little baby in a hoodie! I even made the Ford/Carhartt long sleeve with this pattern with only a few modifications.
