Baby Snap Suit
Say hello to your new favorite onesie pattern!! This pattern comes in sizes Preemie — 2T. With an adorable kimono-style wrap that snaps across the body, this body suit is a breeze to get on and off. There are a few more snaps than a traditional lap neck onesie but there is no fuss over the head. This is my absolute favorite onesie on my babe!

Customers praised this adorable, quick sewing pattern with mostly clear instructions. Many said it's "easy to follow" and creates a "professional looking" kimono-style suit. However, several noted challenges with snap installation due to binding thickness, unclear mitten cuff directions, and fabric pulling at snap areas. Some suggest adding interfacing for reinforcement.
I've been looking for a side snap onesie like this for a long time, and I'm glad I found it! Overall the instructions are clear and the directions are well written. My only gripe is the snap installation on the sides feels nearly impossible without extra long pronged snaps due to the bulk of the binding coming together. I had to sew a piece of twill tape for the snap on one and had to improvise and hide the snap on another. Otherwise the end product is adorable and practical.
I was surprised by how easy this was to sew up! Great directions that were easy to follow. I will definitely be making this again!

I really love the final product. How ever I found the biding instructions unclear. I could only guess a raw edge is left inside the garment. I watched all the videos provided and was still unclear how to finish that inside edge. I consider myself a very experienced sewist, and was able to finish it to my liking.
Can not down load corrupt site
The binding on the tutorial was the same colour as main fabric and difficult to see. Also I had to add reinforcement to snap areas as they ripped material. The binding spots were too thick to press snaps. I always have trouble with the snap areas. Making a second one and put interfacing on snap areas. Hope it helps.
Clear directions and fairly simple to sew. I used a binder attachment that made it even easier for me. It turned out very cute and I plan to make many more!
I looove the final product!! But, the directions for making the scratch mittens part were very short and really confusing. It took me a few days to figure out that it meant to turn right side out only the top layer of the mitten, to form the cuff, instead of turning the middle right side out. Needed more details for that part and also more pictures would’ve been really nice.
I have serious trouble with the snaps on the pointy corners :(

So cute! Really happy with how it turned out. Not sure if I should have used some interfacing in the band because the fabric tends to pull at the snaps. Photo is with the gusset pants before I attached all the snaps. Thanks so much for your lovely patterns!
Loved the look especially when using Jersey (see yellow snap suit). I probably need to learn how to use rib better, but with rib I had a hard time keeping the binding smooth (see turquoise snap suit). The instructions were clear and the sew fast and easy. I would say that the reinforcement for the snap in the front (the one with the square) needs to be increased. My husband tore the fabric with its first use! But will keep making it for sure! I'm looking forward to actually trying it on our expected baby!
Fantastic pattern. Everyone should have it in their collection. Just a great basic pattern! I’m on my second one. The binding is easier than it seems.
I'm definitely more comfortable sewing wovens, but this knit pattern was an absolute breeze to sew, looks great, and comes together nicely. My partner was hesitant for me to make baby clothes but is a big fan of this design; with snap closures allowing for full opening making changing a breeze. I've now full endorsement from my partner to make more!

I love the baby snap suit! I made the 3-6 month size for my 3 month old and it fits really well. I might size up on the arms next time. I really like the snap reinforcement! I found the pattern easy to follow and I was able to sew up 2 concurrently in about 2 hours :)
