Retro Shorties
These cozy shorties are the perfect summer to fall transition. They're great for lounging and also fitting for a casual setting. These shorties have been tried and tested from size NB - 9/10 years. Your kiddo can pair it with their favorite tee, hoodie, or whatever their favorite top may be! I suggest using a structured knit such as french terry for the shorties and if possible a thinner knit (or woven would work) for the pockets as it can get a little bulky in that area.

- Your files come in a .zip. It’s easiest to download on a computer, unzip, and you’ll see: Instructions, Letter/A4, A0, and a Projector file.
- Printing at home? Open the Letter/A4 PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader and print at 100% (Actual Size), then check the test square.

Troubleshooting:
- If the whole pattern prints on a single page, you likely opened the wrong file (use Letter/A4, not A0 or Projector).
- If lines look fuzzy or misaligned, try “Print as image,” make sure your printer driver is up to date, and restart your computer.

I really enjoyed sewing these! I love Lowland Kids’ patterns bc they are written well, and the outfits are very practical for everyday life! These were fairly easy to sew… I’d say a confident beginner could make these easily! My biggest tip is to pay attention when attaching binding so you don’t end up with doubled binding on both sides bc they’ll be very thick when constructing sides! Thanks LL Kids for another amazing pattern!

Pattern instructions are great BUT I find doing the banding around the edges to be really challenging. I like the fit of these a lot but I don't make them often due to the difficulty.
Most fun sewing pattern to date! Instructions clear and easy to follow. Made size 5T with only 0.25m fabric leftover. Will be making more this summer!
