Pj Pants
The PJ Pants are our all-time favorite sleep wear. You can choose from a shorts or pant length so this pattern can be used through any season! Recent updates to this pattern are slight but make a BIG difference (in our opinion). The base pattern has not changed but we've added the options of a wide continuous gusset, a narrow continuous gusset in sizes 12m - 9/10, and a fabric waistband. Please make sure to read through the instructions before getting started (especially the "notes about this pattern" page) Pair with Racerback PJ Top or Raglan PJ Top for a super cute and cozy pajama set.

Sizes & Fabric Quantity:
NB - 18M : 1/2 yard .5 meters
2T - 4T : 1 yard .75 meters
5T - 9/10 : 1 1/2 yards 1.5 meters
Materials:
- Rib knit or Jersey - Because these are a slim fitting pant, it’s important to select the right kind of fabric. My favorite is rib knit. Specifically one with spandex in it for better recovery. You can use jersey fabric but if you do, make sure it has at least 50% stretch. I do not suggest using 100% cotton (even if it’s knit) for any tight fitting pants.
- Waistband elastic (not needed if doing fabric waistband version)
- Drawstring (optional)

- Your files come in a .zip. It’s easiest to download on a computer, unzip, and you’ll see: Instructions, Letter/A4, A0, and a Projector file.
- Printing at home? Open the Letter/A4 PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader and print at 100% (Actual Size), then check the test square.

Troubleshooting:
- If the whole pattern prints on a single page, you likely opened the wrong file (use Letter/A4, not A0 or Projector).
- If lines look fuzzy or misaligned, try “Print as image,” make sure your printer driver is up to date, and restart your computer.

Seem to be a bit on the thin side for my little guys thick legs. I was hoping for a looser fit on the legs. I used french terry with stretch and it was still hugging his calves too much. Cute otherwise

These came out great. I usually struggle with the Lowland patterns for clarity, but these were easy to understand and complete. Pic color is off as pants are black and top is dark wine.

Sewed up like a dream:blush: Directions were clear. I made the 18-24 mos. size and they were a great fit!
LOVED the idea of a gusset for my son's PJs, but was intimidated by the idea of sewing it! The instructions are top notch and made it so easy. One tip - if the fabric is directional (you care if your print is right right side up and not on its head lol), use the two piece gusset.
I have skinny kids, this is the perfect fit! I've made the pants to also fit a very thick baby, by opening up the elastic slightly. We love how easy the instructions are to follow and quick to sew up! They are the perfect pants for all sizes! Thank you Lowland Kids for amazing patterns.

The directions were very clear. Simple. The pants themselves are adorable.I love that you can either have the full 1 piece gusset or cut the 2 separate pieces allowing for flexibility. Pairs perfectly with the pj raglan. Just finishing a stack off and am thrilled to add these sets to my shop.
