Grunge Joggers
The grunge joggers are the perfect cozy pants! They have a looser fit in the legs and come with two different cut lengths. The full length is meant to hit right at the ankle and can be rolled up for a 7/8 look if desired (my personal favorite). There is also a capri cut that if left just hemmed can also be a 7/8 length and if rolled up it hits at a capri length.
The front pockets have two construction methods. The first one is the gusset pockets which are SUPER cool and unique. They are also a bit more time consuming and require more attention to detail. The second option is super fast and easy and gives a fun raw fringy look. There is also a simple back pocket option that finishes it all of nicely!

I love to use 100% cotton french terry for these joggers but any knit fabric will do.

Loved this easy pattern as a change to the normal joggers or gusset pant that I sew up!
This is a great, fast, very rewarding sew!! Love!!! No matter what I add to other patterns they always seem to ride down. These are nice higher waisted pants. I opted to coverstitch the pocket edges for a different look. I also added a real drawstring. Ignore that it’s off center. Oops!

I love the edgy look of these joggers. They are so unique, and I love making them with the raw-hem pockets. I highly recommend using french terry to make these adorable joggers!
I found it a very easy sew my end result was adorable.
My 4 year old daughter suddenly decided that leggings were no good and she wanted “poofy pants”. These are great “poofy pants”! Fit is great, pattern is easy to follow and she LOVES the pockets.

Love This Pattern
I haven't been brave enough to incorporate pockets. I used 100% canvas jersey from Isee fabrics and it was a perfect pair of pants for my thick thighed little one. I used 1 in elastic since I didn't have the 1.25 in the pattern called for so I mede the seam allowance larger too. I didn't do the parallel straight stitch around the waist band on my first pair but plan to go back and do it soon. The second pair was using French Terry by Fabric Merchants. They were good but not as good as the first pair. My next version will be with a waffle knit from Isee. Can't wait.
I love the grunge Joggers so much. I seriously think it's my favorite pants pattern for my son. I love the raw edge pockets, and they are so simple to make too!
These joggers are wider in the legs and no bands which makes them great for my low spectrum autism grandson who hates to wear clothes. I chose the regular pockets and used lowland kids French terry. He loves the feel of the terry and calls them popcorn pants.
The pattern is very easy to follow and the pockets are adorable! The base of the pant has a little bit of a flare to it, and I probably prefer more of a straight leg. I wish there were more variations to go with the pattern like a cuffed or elastic pant leg. It is a nice pattern, and I will definitely make it again, probably with some mods.
