Flutter Dress
This amazing dress is so versatile and adorable! You can get completely different looks with just a few simple options. The pattern requires knit fabric although if you're savvy with woven fabric you can make the button down front option with woven by lining the bodice or using bias tape!
Choose from two dress types: button down front bodice with gathered skirt, or simple swing dress with long and tunic length. There is also a bonus shirt option!
For the sleeves, you can choose from a sweet gathered ruffle sleeve (lined or hemmed) and a simple yet elegant bell sleeve. The fit is roomy around the waist.

I have made the first and easiest of the few different variant of the flutter dress pattern. I am still a novice at sewing with a machine, but the instructions of the tutorial are very clear to understand. I am planning to make the other variants soon.
The pattern is a very simple and quick sew. The instructions are very basic/minimal so for a experienced sewist not a issue for a bigonner they may need a bit more. I was not a fan of raw edges so I did hem/finish some of the edges.

I’m a beginner, so this is definitely the most advanced thing I’ve sewn and it turned out great! Made 2 for my nieces and they loved them.
I really love this pattern! The instructions are easy to follow and the top and dress are both a pretty quick sew. I made the tee version with circle sleeves in about 40 min and the dress in about 1.5 hours.
