Hooded Blanket
My kids are always grabbing their blankets to carry around the house or outside, but they're constantly slipping off or dragging on the ground. The Hooded Blanket pattern is my solution for a wearable blanket that’s both cozy and practical. It's designed to sit nicely on the shoulders and a hood to keep their heads warm, with pockets for hands or little treasures they want to keep close! And of course it's not only for kids 😉

Oversized Fit
- Designed to sit comfortably on the shoulders
- Roomy enough for layering and cozy feel
- Note on baby and toddler size: they may not be the most practical as far as them keeping it on (unless you add ties which are not in the instructions) but they still work great for wrapping them up while snuggling!

1-3: 50" x 60 (throw size blanket)
4-6: 65" x 90" (twin size blanket)
7-8: 85" x 90" (double size blanket)
Materials:
- Blanket-type fabric for ultimate coziness. Note - sometimes fabrics that are SUPER thick, like a two layer blanket can be really hard to sew! You can definitely upcycle a blanket for this but I recommend using one with only one layer if you're worried about ease of sewing. Also note that fabric plays a huge part in how this fits. If you make it out of a stretch fabric, it's going to end up larger, due to the stretch.

Troubleshooting:
- If the whole pattern prints on a single page, you likely opened the wrong file (use Letter/A4, not A0 or Projector).
- If lines look fuzzy or misaligned, try “Print as image,” make sure your printer driver is up to date, and restart your computer.

Customers said this sewing pattern is "easy to follow" and "simple" to create. Multiple shoppers completed projects in 2-3 hours with "perfect" results. The pattern offers flexible sizing, fun edge options, and versatile use as towel cover-ups or ponchos. Kids love the finished product.
I made two of these as post-pool towel/cover up things! The pattern is really easy to follow with some fun options for finishing the edges. The sizing is very flexible. I made a size 1 and 4, and everyone could wear size one-it looked like a capelet on my 9 year old. And everyone tall enough could wear the size 4
The patterns was so simple and easy to follow I love it! I was planning on making ponchos for my kids for Christmas and the next day the pattern came out for free! Talk about meant to be, I bought fabric the same day I downloaded the file and made 3. Size 1, 3 and 4 all within 2-3 hours and they turned out perfect! I love all the edge options as well!

Easy to sew up. Easy to cut. I do t follow pattern instructions directly. I didn't make the fronts offset from the back. And I just surged all the edges nothing fancy. Only extra step I did was double line the hoods. I do t k ow if im gonna put pockets on them either. I know the small one doesn't need it.
Recently my partner Larry has died. I’m so sorry but I haven’t felt like doing much of anything including sewing. Consequently I haven’t tried out your pattern yet. If this is an issue please take the pattern back as I know you need people and reviews! I’m sorry for letting you down. I hope to be sewing for all my grandbabies again soon. Thank you Leesa
