Boxer Briefs
The boxer briefs are the perfect pattern for using up fabric scraps and if your new to sewing with knits, these are a great place to start! With two elastic methods, you can customize these to be exactly what you like!
Sizes : 12M - 10YRS
Options : Choose between the foldover method or exposed elastic method

Beginner - anyone with a machine can do it! All you need is a regular sewing machine!
Fabric amount requirements:
All sizes : 1/2 yard / .5 meters
Materials:
- Jersey Knit is a great fabric for these! Cotton/lycra is generally the best blend but any knit with decent stretch and recovery will work. Rib knit works as well but I suggest sizing down if using rib knit.
- 1" or 1.25" elastic

Troubleshooting:
- If the whole pattern prints on a single page, you likely opened the wrong file (use Letter/A4, not A0 or Projector).
- If lines look fuzzy or misaligned, try “Print as image,” make sure your printer driver is up to date, and restart your computer.

My first boxer briefs I’ve ever made and it only took me about 10 minutes. Good instructions and super easy to make. Made it in size 7/8 for my 7 year old and it fit him perfectly.
I started with the under and was a bit intimidated by this one. Super simple and I've made 2 more pairs!

These are the best fitting boxers for lil ones! The reason for only 4 stars because they are the best fitting boxers and only go up to size 10!
I like the pattern but hate the fact that this, and several others, are missing the 1”x1” squares to help with projector sewing despite it clearly indicating they have a pdf for projector use
These were pretty easy to sew up. Made 8 pairs for my 3 year old who is potty training. I feel like they’ve been a game changer for him. And now having enough undies means we really don’t rely on the diapers Even if there’s an oops. Wish I would have gotten to them sooner!
I made them for my grandson, who is very petite and couldn't find any boxers to fit. Now he gets to choose the fabrics and colours and just loves them. Great pattern.

Cute and easy to sew boxer. I actually used it as a pajama bottom for my Granddaughter with a matching tee. Next time I will omit the front dart for her.
This pattern was exactly what I was looking for, it mimics my son's favourite store-bought brand almost perfectly! After the first pair I took about an inch of height off, as they sat higher than most of his pants. I made the version with hidden elastic.

This is a fantastic sewing pattern. Instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. I consider myself an intermediate sewer and find this pattern easy and beginner friendly. I've made 4 boxer briefs so far to my 5yo son. He loves them and prefer them over store bought.

Great pattern! So easy and quick to sew up! And the sizing was spot on!
It sewed up quick and the instructions were clear. I made a few for my little boy... Then his older sister wanted some. I combined the front and back pieces and took the dart out of the front so it was smooth through the crotch for her. I also increased the inseam length and they are perfect for under dresses.
